空气增压泵工作的时候，要先对泵内施加一个很小的作用力，当泵内的活塞受到作用力后会生成一个高压，通过入气孔处的换向阀，增压泵就可以不断的运动，再由一个控制阀控制高压活塞连续的将水排出。当主要的驱动系统和液体系统之间达到气压的均衡时，增压泵就能停止工作，反之增压泵就会继续工作，这就是空气增压泵的工作规律。
